Tyler R. Watt
About
Attorney Tyler R. Watt is an attorney with Willis Law, practicing estate planning, estate and trust administration and litigation, and corporate law. Tyler graduated with a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He earned his B.A. in Political Science with high honors and high distinction from the University of Michigan as well.
While at U of M, Tyler served as Treasurer and Counsel of Central Student Government and was involved with the Federalist Society and Christian Legal Society. For more than a year, Tyler offered pro-bono representation to indigent clients in disputes against the IRS through the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. He was Executive Editor on the Michigan Journal of Law Reform, served as a professorial assistant in a 1L Contracts course, and also sat on several appellate boards for student disciplinary issues and tuition disputes. Tyler was a three-year recipient of the Michigan Law Dean’s Scholarship and was recognized as a Blackstone Scholar in 2023.
Tyler was raised in Saginaw and is a dedicated Michigan sports fan. Tyler lives in the Kalamazoo area and enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking and fishing, and occupies far too much time raising his rescue cats, Plato and Homer.
