Attorney Jennifer Grahek: Impressive Background, Valuable Contributions
Willis Law is pleased to welcome Attorney Jennifer Grahek to our capable team. She will be joining us as our 8th practicing partner. Attorney Grahek received her Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School in Lansing in 2007. She graduated cum laude while working as a full-time paralegal. During law school, she was on the Dean’s List and received the top award in Family Law.
Jennifer focuses on adoption work and providing support in civil and estate litigation. She also has experience in cases involving:
- Direct placement adoption
- Stepparent adoption
- Guardianship adoption
We are pleased to have the benefit of her experience on our family law, estate law, and civil litigation teams.
Kay Davidson: Trusted Experience Coming to Willis Law
We have also expanded our team by hiring Kay Davidson, our newest legal assistant. Kay brings 25 years of experience in:
- Estate Planning
- Litigation
- Personal Injury
- Probate
- Social Security Disability
She will be joining our team primarily to assist in estate planning and litigation practice, but we have no doubt that her varied skills will be a boon to all our practicing attorneys. Kay is also a licensed Notary Public. When not serving Kalamazoo’s legal community, Kay enjoys cooking, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
Jennifer DeGroot: Recognizing Community-Grown Talent
Our hardworking marketing and client relations associate will soon be taking on new challenges. Jennifer DeGroot, who has proven herself time and again for Willis Law, has been awarded a much-deserved promotion. She will begin working as the Assistant to Team Management Services for the firm.
Jennifer grew up in Kalamazoo and earned both an associate and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University. After teaching in various preschools for 13 years, she worked in retail in human resources and management for 3 years. We have been lucky to have her on our team since then and look forward to working with her for years to come. Jennifer embodies the hardworking and caring spirit that makes Kalamazoo special. She and her family stay involved in the community through Westwood Christian Reformed Church.
